Full-Time Temporary Position | Starting January
The successful candidate is expected to have a strong work ethic, design sensibility and a high degree of computer literacy. As a smaller locally owned office, each employee works on a broad variety of projects with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. Initially, the successful candidate will work in the early stages of the design process.
The primary software platforms currently used in the office are: Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Sketchup. While expertise with this software is considered a benefit it is not required. We are looking for someone who is keen to meet the challenges of a busy office and the many opportunities that come with it.
We expect that the student wouldn't have to take on full responsibility, but would be engaged to gain experience, and depending on ability or opportunities, specific duties could include:
Responsibilities
- Assisting architects with design tasks, space planning, and programming
- Preparing presentations
- Prepare RFP Proposal Documents
- Writing design briefs or reports
- Drafting & 3D modelling
- Code research
- Assist staff with site visits and site reports
- Construction contract administration duties
Qualifications
- Enrollment in an Architecture Degree Program
