The newly constructed NOTUS Electronics building is a 2 storey, 13,455 sq ft, office and aquatic acoustics R&D facility completed as part of a Design Build Project with Lindsay Construction. The building houses 11 offices, a large board room, he newly constructed NOTUS Electronics building is a 2 storey, 13,455 sq ft, office and aquatic acoustics R&D facility. The building houses 11 offices, a large board room, a 2 storey aquatic acoustic testing tank, and a full R&D facility consisting of R&D rooms, a mechanics room, moulding room, electronics room, inventory, and shipping/receiving.

The building is comprised of steel construction and concrete tilt up panel which allowed for large vertical windows surrounding the tank room, displaying the testing facility and upper mezzanine, and a large curtain wall front entry into the 2 storey lobby. To accent the exterior concrete tilt up panel, while staying within the client specified budget, the tilt up panels were designed with an alternating relief, with either the upper of lower section of the panel standing proud of the alternate section, with a horizontal break. As these panels alternate, and the placement of the horizontal break changes across the facade, it produces a wave like effect, reminiscent of both the aquatic environment in which NOTUS operates, as well as the acoustic technologies they employ.
